Our Correspondent :

Three influential people of a village built a shop at late night by occupying the land property purchased by the late Nurul Haque Fakir of Mymensingh’s Gafargaon upazila.
Last Thursday night, miscreants occupied the land at Fakirbari corner of Digha village in the upazila and built shops.
On Friday morning, Nurul Haque’s wife Josnara Khatun went to the spot after receiving the news and the occupants threatened to kill her. It is learned that the late Nurul Haque of Digha village built six tin shops on his own property at the local Fakirbari intersection 20 years ago and rented them out.
Meanwhile, Iqbal Fakir, Fakir Uddin, Shohal mia and Dulal Fakir of the same village tried to seize the land by forging documents. In this situation a case was filed in the court.
Meanwhile, while the case was pending in the court, Iqbal Fakir, Fakir and Dulal led a shop on April 26 to openly demolish a shop with local weapons. Later, the wife of the deceased Nurul Haque lodged a complaint with the Gafargaon police station and the police investigated the incident. In this situation, Iqbal, Fakir and Dulal built shops on the same land in the middle of the night on Thursday.
Josner Khatun, Nurul Haque’s wife, said there were cases in the court and allegations in the police station over the disputed issue. In this situation, they are threatening to kill me by occupying my land in a terrorist manner.
The accused Iqbal and Fakir Uddin could not be reached for comment.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Gafargaon Police Station Ahsan Habib said, “After receiving the complaint after the shop was demolished, I went to the spot and came to know that a case is pending in the court over the land.” So both sides were informed that the disputed land would remain in a state of stagnation.
The matter of ownership will be decided by the court. Later I heard that the people of the opposition had built shops on that land at night, which is completely against the law.
