Staff Reporter: A group of unidentified miscreants have attacked Martial Arts trainer and organizer Md. Anisur Rahman Nayon of Gandaria, Dhaka.
Witnesses said, a gang of unruly persons attacked him and his wife Tohfa Afifa on September 1, in Keranigonj area while they were going to visit a relatives house there.
He had been admitted to a nearby hospital- Lab Four General Hospital in Keranigonj.
They had been kept under medical treatment in the hospital for seven days.
Sources said that Anisur Rahman Nayon is well known as an activist against drug abusing, extortionists and terrorists and eave teasing against women and girls in his area.
Such of his activities may be behind the attack, sources said.
Some miscreants have threatened him repeatedly for years for such of his social activities.
In these circumstances, Nayon filed a case in a court against local Mofezul Islam gang on November 11, 2020.
Nayon feared that the attackers might be involved with the court case.
Besides, few relatives also involved enmity with Anisur Rahman Nayon for coterie interest.
In this situation, Nayon fears insecurity and threats to his life as well as other family members.
