Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-7 rescued a minor from Chakaria Upazila on Sunday after he was abducted from the district town one day ago.
The abducted is Abrar Mir Shoaib, 4, son of Md Fazal Karim of Kachchapia Pukur area of Kalurdokan under the district town.
RAB also arrested the accused abductor Biplob Das, 23, son of Parimol Das of Digorpankhali area under Chakaria Upazila of the district. Deputy Commander of (RAB)-7 Cox’s Bazar Camp ASP Sharafat Hossain said after abducting the child, the abductor demanded Tk 50,000 to his father through phone. The father filed a written complaint with Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station and also submitted a copy to RAB’s camp here. Being officially informed, RAB raided the said area on Sunday morning and arrested the abductor and rescued the child from his house. Later, Md Fazal Karim, father of the victim, filed a case.
The child was handed over to his family members and the arrested abductor was handed over to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station.
