One primary school student was killed and 10 people were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers over water body and poultry dispute at
Shamukjani village in Tarail upazila under Kishoreganj district on Friday noon.
The victim has been identified as Tonni Akhter (9), a class III student and daughter of Jamal Miah from Shamukjanni village in Tarail upazila.
Police and local said there was long standing enmity between Jamal Miah group and Liakat Ali group, bursting on Friday afternoon.
The supporters of both groups equipped with lethal weapons attacked each other.
The injured people were admitted to Kishoreganj Hospital and Tarail Hospital.
The body was sent to the hospital for autopsy. Additional Police Super Liton Kumar Saha said, the situation is now under control.
A case was filed in this connection with Tarail Thana and two persons named Sultan and Chand Miah have been arrested.
