A minor by named Sium (07) and son of one Miraj Molla of village Badnibhanga under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district was allegedly brutally killed by his stepmother on Sunday noon and concealed the dead body. After 2 days of the incident the dead body was recovered from the house by the police. In this connection stepmother Ferdousi Begum (28) was arrested by the police on Tuesday.
Family source said that Sium was the son of Miraj Molla by his first wife and a student of the local B S Rahmatia Dakhil Madrasa. On Sunday noon the stepmother put cloth into his mouth forcibly so that he cannot cry and breathe. Then she hit on the head and back of the boy with a heavy pestle with force. As a result, the boy was killed on the spot.
Later she concealed the dead body into a hole filled with garbage, adjacent to the toilet. Since then the boy had been missing. On Tuesday morning a nephew (son of Miraj’s sister) went to the toilet and found the dead body
