Arfan Ali, President and Managing Director of the Bank Asia Limited and Rajeev Kumar Gupta, Programme Manager of SHIFT SAARC and ASEAN, UNCDF, exchanging an agreement signing document at a hotel in the city recently for launching a pilot implementation of innovative business model digitizing micro-merchants transactions in Sirajganj, Jamalpur and Sherpur districts by the Bank’s partnership with Grameenphone Limited and MicroSave in association with UNCDF SHIFT supported by European Union. The objective of this pilot implementation would be promoting the uptake of innovative products and sustainable business models of Digital Financial Services (DFS) among micro-merchants.
