UNB, Savar :
A young man was stabbed to death by miscreants in Badda Bhatpara School ground here on Monday evening.
The deceased was identified as Sharif Hossain, 18, son of Moslem Miah, hailing from Rampur village under Gouripur upazila in Mymensingh district, used to live in Boktarpur area and worked in a shoe factory.
Mohsinul Quader, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station, said that a gang of miscreants called Sharif out from house in the evening. They took him to the field and stabbed indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured. The miscreants also stabbed a worker as he came to rescue the young man.
The two injured were rushed to Enam Medical College Hospital where doctors declared Sharif dead.
