An elderly man was killed by some identified miscreants in the city’s Konapara Mominbag area of Jatrabari on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Mohibullah, 62. He used to live in Jatrabari in her own house.
Mazharul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jatrabari Police Station confirmed the matter to the media that some unidentified miscreants entered the residence of victim around 3:00 am when Mohibullah along with his family members were sleeping, and killed him, looted cash money and others precious ornament and fled the spot. The incident is being investigated, OC said.
The body will be sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital for an autopsy, he added.
