Get the kids involved in gardening this season. Mrs Pott is easy to make, and her edible hair makes this the perfect craft project to get little ones interested in gardening.
You will need:
Glue
Brown twine
One large and one small terracotta pot
Buttons
Googly eyes
Red paint and brush
Gems
Ribbon
Card
Papier mache paper
To make the arms, glue twine onto the base of the small pot. Thread two large buttons on the ends of the twine and secure with a knot.
Turn the large pot upside down and glue the smaller one on top (right-side up) to form a head and body .
Attach googly eyes with glue, and paint on a little smile.
Stick gems down the front of the large pot to create buttons on a jacket, and glue ribbon around the base. Now to create her lovely floral wellies.
Draw a pair of boots onto card and cover them with glue. Attach twine to each boot, then cover with papier mache paper.Glue the twine to the inside edge of the large pot.
Finally, plant cress or anything else you like into the top pot to create hair, then find her a nice sunny indoor or outdoor spot so she can grow.
