Staff Reporter :A television broadcaster (news presenter) went missing from the capital’s Tejgaon area on Tuesday night. She went missing after she filed a general diary against her step-son and some unknown persons with Gushan Police Station, said Humayun Kabir, Investigation Officer (IO) of the incident, quoting family sources.The victim has been identified as Sabrina Afroj Sabina alias Sabina Nipa, a news broadcaster of privately owned Maasranga Television, the police official said. “We are investigating the incident,” he said. Abdur Rashid, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tejgaon Industrial Police Station, said: “Nipa went to Gulshan Police Station Tuesday night to file a general diary against some unknown persons.””When Nipa was returning to residence, she was talking to her friend Rasheda Sultana in her cell phone. She told Rasheda that a car was following her. After a while her number was found switched off,” the police official said. Later, Rasheda’s husband Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed filed a GD in this regard around 3:00am Wednesday, he continued.The OC said, she might have been abducted.Her husband Ruhul Amin filed a missing diary with the police station, the police official said.
