Lutfor Rahman Shikder, a third year student of Islamic History and Culture Department emerged champion in the Annual Sports Competition of Salimullah Muslim Hall of Dhaka University (DU) while Tariqul Islam, a master degree student of Social Welfare and Research Institute of DU became runner-up in the sports meet on Monday.
The Annual Sports Competition of the Hall of DU was held at the Central Play Ground of DU.
Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the sports competition by releasing the balloons in the morning as the chief guest at the Ground.
After the sports meet, Treasurer of DU Professor Dr Md Kamal Uddin distributed the prizes among the winners. Acting Provost of Salimullah Muslim Hall Professor Dr Md Mahbubul Alam Jowarder, residential teachers of the Hall and the officials of Physical Education Centre of DU were present at the time.
