Low performing schools, madrasas to be brought under accountability

Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman said low performing schools and madrasas in this year’s PSC and Ebtedayee examinations will be brought under accountability aiming to increase quality of education.
“Teachers of those schools and madrasas and officials concerned will be made accountable,” he told a press conference on JSC and Ebtedayee in the Primary and Mass Education Ministry here on Thursday.
The results of Primary School Certificate (PSC) and Ebtedayee (madrasa) terminal examinations were published with passing of 98.52 and 95.13 percents respectively. The minister announced the PSC and Ebtedayee results at the press conference.
He said a total of 28,39,238 students appeared in the PSC examination. Of the total, 27,97,274 passed the examination this year.
