Like many other canals in the capital, the Paris Road canal in Mirpur is too struggling for survival due to unabated encroachments, mindless dumping of solid wastes and sheer negligence of the concern authorities. This photo taken on Wednesday shows that the canal turns narrow after influential people build multistoried buildings, houses and other structures occupying both sides of the water body.
