Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Engineer Khandker Mosharraf Hossain left here for New York on Tuesday night.
During his visit, the minister will take part at an event titled “Urban Health in Sustainable Development: Community Opportunities and Challenges,” as the chief guest on September 24, on the sidelines of the United Nation General Assembly (UNGA), an official handout said here on Wednesday.
New York Academy for Medicine will organize the event on the occasion of the 70th Session of the UNGA.
The LGRD minister will deliver an important speech on ‘Urban Health’ in Bangladesh perspective.
Engineer Khandker Mosharraf has been accompanied by LGRD Secretary Abdul Malek and personal secretary Muhammad Ibrahim.
The minister is scheduled to return home on October 3.
