The long cherished BSCIC industrial zone is going to be established in Raozan in the district . Land acquisition for the proposed zone going to be started from next month , a sources of industrial entrepreneurs told . In the zone, there will be 184 plots and construction cost of Tk.80 crores will be involved .
The zone will be established over 35 acres of land beside the Chittagong Rangamati road at East & West Raozan areas of the upazila.
This project was approved in the EC NEC meeting and govt notification in connection was also issued recently.
While contacted councilor of No.9 ward Jamiruddin Parvez told our correspondent Mir Aslam that the BSCIC zone will be located at Dalarmuk area of west Raozan and some parts of East Raozan Mouza.
He said following relentless efforts of the lawmaker of Raozan ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury , the project isgoing tobe established. He said after im;plementation of this project unemployment problems of the upazila will be solved where atleast 60 thousand worker s will be involved in the industries.
A team consists of the Project Director of the project Hamidul Hoque Chowdhury accompanied by Asstt. Commissioner of Land, Raozan, ULO and local political leaders including Panel Mayor Jamiruddin Parvez visited the site of industrial zone, our Raozan correspondent sources s aid.
