Kuwait PM leaves Dhaka

The Prime Minister of the Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah left here for Kuwait yesterday noon after wrapping up his 3-day high-profile visit to Bangladesh.
A special VVIP flight carrying the Kuwaiti Prime Minister and members of his entourage took off Hazarat Shahjalal International Airport at 12:00 noon yesterday. Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and senior foreign ministry officials saw the Kuwaiti Premier off at the airport.
The Kuwaiti Premier arrived here on Tuesday on a three-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. During his Bangladesh tour, he held bilateral talks with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina when various bilateral and multilateral issues including enhancing cooperation in trade and investment, manpower and defense sectors between the two countries were discussed. Following the official talks, a number of agreements relating to increasing Kuwait investment in Bangladesh, military cooperation and easing visa procedures for diplomatic and official passport holders were signed between the two countries. Besides, the Kuwaiti Prime Minister met President Md. Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban and witnessed the parliament proceedings at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. Leader of the opposition in Parliament Begum Rawshan Ershad also called on the Kuwaiti Prime Minister at his Hotel Suit yesterday morning. Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak also joined a banquet hosted by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Hotel Sonargaon yesterday. During his stay in Dhaka, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak paid homage to the martyrs of country’s War of Liberation by placing wreaths at the National Martyrs Memorial in Savar.
