A seminar titled “Nursing Education Development” held at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) recently jointly hosted by the Directorate of Nursing Services (DNS) and Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
More than 50 nursing education experts including nurse professors from the renowned Yonsei University, Korea participated in this workshop in order to share their experiences and knowledge to develop the practical based modern MSc nursing education system in Bangladesh.
Country Director of KOICA Bangladesh Office, Joint Secretary of Nursing, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Pro-Vice Chancellor of BSMMU, Director of DNS, Registrar of Bangladesh Council (BNC), President of Bangladesh Nurse Association (BNA), Representatives from Yonsei University, Korea and other nursing experts from renowned Universities and Colleges in Bangladesh were also present on that occasion.
As a part of the project for “Establishment of the National Institute of Advanced Practice Nurses in Bangladesh” supported by KOICA with a budget of USD 13.75 million, the seminar has been organized to share the research findings, ideas and views of participants who have received training in Korea under this project in order to establish the better nursing education system here.
Beside the local nursing professionals, professors and experts from Korea also delivered their valuable suggestions for the improvement of our nursing education.
The main purpose of this seminar was to collect every single idea from the local and Korean experts regarding nursing education in order to launch the sensible modern nursing education according to the country context.
