Loko Natyadal’s much awaited and most staged play Konjush’s 700th show is scheduled to be staged at National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) at 7:00pm on December 15.
Directed by Liaquat Ali Lucky Konjush is an adaptation of noted French playwright Moliere’s The Miser. It is translated by Tariq Anam Khan. Since 1987 the play itself is being staged by this popular group which has already created a milestone in the country’s theatre arena.
It was announced at a press conference held at Conference Room of BSA on Tuesday where Director General of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky talked about various issues regarding the play. Yasmin Ali, Swadesh Ranjan Dasgupta, Ziauddin Shipon, Rubel Shankar, Dr Mahfuza Hilali, among others, were also present at the conference.
