BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Tuesday expressed profound shock at the death of former Chief Justice MM Ruhul Amin.
In a condolence message, she said Ruhul Amin had worked relentlessly to ensure the rule of law and justice in the country during his service in the judiciary.
He’ll be there in the hearts of the country’s people as a virtuous justice forever. The demise of a prudent justice like him is an irreparable loss for the nation, Khaleda observed.
She prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed her deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Former Chief Justice MM Ruhul Amin died of heart diseases at a hospital in Singapore early Tuesday at the age of 74. MM Ruhul Amin was appointed as the Chief Justice on June 1, 2008. He had been serving as the chairman of Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission since 2004.
