BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has greeted the Hindu community of the country on the occasion of Janmashtami, the birth day of Sri Krishna.
She greeted the community members in a message sent to the media on Friday. The Janmashtami will be observed today (Saturday).
Khaleda Zia in her message said that all the religions, including Hinduism, talk about peace and welfare of humanity. “Preachers in every era had shown the path of truth and virtue. Sri Krishna emerged during the period of a tyrant king. He established truth and virtue in society,” the message added.
Terming Bangladesh as a land where people of all religions have been living harmoniously for years, she asked all people to come forward to make people’s life peaceful.
