JU punishes 15 students

The authorities of Jahangirnagar University (JU) punished a total of 15 students including permanent cancellation of studentship of one, on the charge of involvement with some offences committed in the last several months yesterday .
The decision have taken from an emergency syndicate meeting headed by JU VC Prof Farzana Islam.
Among them, 4 students were punished over the allegationof adopting unfairness at exam hall while two students have suspended temporarily for the involvement with admission test forgery.
Moreover, the university authority also temporarily suspended a total of 9 students as they were allegedly involved with a clash occurred on January 10 at Bottola and Selim Al Deen Muktamancha area.
Among them, the studentship of Md. Zahidul Islam of Anthropology 40 batch (Masters) has been cancelled as reportedly he wrote answer on his additional answer scripts and added it with the original answer sheet from outside of exam hall.
The other 3 students are SoyebAkhter of Geological Science 41 batch, Shamim Ahmed of IBA 44 batch and NazmusSakib of Pharmacy 44 batch each have been fined tk. 10000 as well as revoked the exam of the related courses in which they tried to adopt unfairness.
Apart from, the student suspended over the admission test forgeries are Nazmul Huda of Mathematics 42 batch and S M Newaz Sharif of International and Relationship 42 batch.
The students suspended in the connection with the clashoccurred in January 10 are JahidHasanShihab of Philosophy42 batch, Md. Yeasin of Geography and Environment42 batch, JahurulHaque of Economics45 batch, S M Enamuzzaman of Economics-45 batch, AshikurRahman of Economics 45 batch, MdSaidul of Economics 40 batch, MizanurRahman of Archeology 41 batch, Istiaq Ahmed of Zoology 42 batch and DibyanduBiswas of Mathematics 42 batch.
