Jahangirnagar University (JU) achieved a total of 12 gold medals in swim competition of Inter-University Games -2018.
On behalf of the university, Mahfijur Rahman of history department took part in 12 events of the competition and gained gold medals in all the events, said a press release here today.
After the tournament, in a courtesy call, Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Farzana Islam congratulated him for his grand achievement on behalf of the university.
During the call, Acting Director of JU Physical Education Department Habiba Yeasmin and officials were present among others, the release added.
Earlier, the Inter-university swimming competition was held on May 3 and 4.
