Jahangirnagar University Cultural Alliance has called demo today protesting attack on Santal community at Gobindaganj in Gaibandha district recently.
Secretary of the National Committee of Protect Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, Power and Ports Prof Anu Mohammed announced the demonstrations by a press met at JU TSC Guest Room yesterday. The demonstrations will stats from social science faculty around at 10.30 pm.
Moreover, they highlighted four point demands about the Santal community interests, including refunds land property of santals, the involve culprits of the heinous attack should take under justice, the authority should withdraw the false cause filling against the innocent community and ensure security of the confined santal people.
Conducted by Rahat Rahman, Secretary of JU Cultural alliance, Associate Professor of History Department Anisa Parvin Joli, President of JU Cultural Alliance Jubair Tipu, Convener of Socialist Student Front of JU unit Moshiur Rahman also attended the press conference among others.
Mentionable that on November 6, some miscreants attacked on Santal community at Gobindaganj in Gaibandha district centering their land dispute.
