The Parliamentary Committee on Government Assurance yesterday recommended evicting illegal structures on lands beside roads and highways and banning plying of illegal transports.
The committee made the recommendation at its 19th meeting at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with its Chairman Kazi Keramat Ali presiding, said a JS press release. Committee members Advocate Rahamat Ali, M Shahiduzzaman Sarkar, AKM Shajahan Kamal and M Abdul Mazid Khan attended the meeting.
