A journalist was beat up allegedly by some Bangladesh Chhatra League activists on the Chittagong University campus ON Sunday.
Rokib Kamal, a correspondent of the daily Manabkantho and a fourth year journalism student of CU, took primary treatment at CU medical center.
Rokib said around 30 BCL men as per the direction of CU BCL hospitality secretary Mizanur Rahman Mizan attacked him without any reason while he was gossiping with his friends at a tea stall.
“They also threatened to kill my friends if any of them comes forward to rescue me,” he said.
Some senior BCL men along with some journalists rescued him, he added.
