News Desk :
Job seekers have given an ultimatum to implement their demand of extending the age limit for government jobs from 30 years to 35 years by June 20.
They also threatened to go for an indefinite sit-in programme from 3pm on June 25 at Shahbagh Chattar in the city if their demand is not met during the period.
Bangladesh General Students’ Council’s central committee gave the ultimatum from a press conference held at the office of DU Journalists’ Association on Tuesday.
Dhaka University student Jobayer Ahmed read out a written statement in the press conference.
He said Awami League in its election manifesto had pledged to extend the age limit for public services, but unfortunately the government did not implement it yet.
Job seekers demanded extension of the age limit so that their future is not ruined as coronavirus created session jam in the universities.
