JnU students’ 10 point demands over under construction campus

Jagannath University students on Sunday have staged a rally demanding to finish the construction work of the second campus quickly under the banner of cultural and voluntary organizations where they presented 10 point demands.
Sumaiya Soma, a student of the Department of Theatre, said that the work on the second campus should be completed very soon. If the administration does not accept the ten-point demand, we will take to the streets. If the demands are not met within the specified time, there will be severe agitation.
Saydul Islam Sayeed, President of Jagannath University Debating Society, said, “We, the students of Jagannath University, have stated a ten-point demand. We don’t want to look left and right, we just want to see the progress of the campus work. We are fixing the time until next Wednesday. If our ten-point demand is not met, then we will start a strict movement. The students of Jagannath University are not afraid of any schemers.
They also submitted a memorandum to prime minister via DC office including the ten point demands . These points are following.
1. Jagannath University’s new campus construction has to be completed under prime minister’s greater development scheme 2. Construction work should be performed under the supervision of army if needed 3. Upazila Chairman Shahin Ahmed should be arrested for interfering the construction work of new campus 4.
