Police arrested general secretary of Jatiyatabadi Chatra Dal(JCD) district unit and its another activist from PurboTulshidanga area in Kolaroa pouro area on Friday night on sabotage charge.
The JCD leader is Mamtazul Islam Chandan. Maruf Ahmmed, officer-in-charge of Kolaroa Police Station, said a team of police conducted a drive in the area while Chandan along with some other party men were planning to carry out sabotage around 11:30am. Sensing the presence of police, some JCD men fled away.
A sabotage case was filed.
