Court Correspondent :A Dhaka court yesterday (Tuesday) framed charges against five persons, including Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) President Abdul Kader Bhuiyan Jewel in a case filed for hurling crude bombs at the house of Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu.Judge Md Masud Parvez of Dhaka’s Special Tribunal-10 on Tuesday framed charges, rejecting the discharge pleas of the accused.Other four accused people are Capital’s Titumir College JCD leader Mahbubul Alam Mahbub, JCD central committee member Akil Mahmud Babu, Dhaka City Unit (North) Senior Vice-President Sharif Uddin Jewel and Mirpur Thana unit Vice-President of JCD Feroz Mia.Earlier, on September 22 last year, Investigation Officer (IO) of the case DB Inspector Nibaran Chandra Bormon submitted the charge sheet of the case to Dhaka CMM Court against the accused.Of the accused, Abdul Kader Jewel is on bail, Mahbub and Babu are in the jail, while other two accused are on the run.Of the accused, Mahbub and Babu were arrested on June 24 last year and they confessed their involvement to a court on June 30 of the same year. Earlier, a case was lodged with Darus Salam Police Station in this connection on the day of attack that allegedly damaged windows of the minister’s house on June 9. Other members of the minister’s family, including his wife were in the house while the minister was away.
