Bangladeshi actress Jaya Ahsan has been nominated for the Filmfare Award (Bangla) -2020 for Kolkata Bangla Cinema released in 2019. She is ahead with two nominations together.
Jaya has been nominated for Best Actress (Critic) category along with Raima Sen (Tarikh), Sohini Sarkar (Vinci Da), Shubhshree Ganguly (Parineeta) and Isha Sahar (Sweater) for acting in ‘Robibar and Bijoya’. The list of best movies nominated includes ‘Gumnami’, ‘Kantha’, ‘Mitin Masi’, ‘Parinita’, ‘Sanjhbati’, ‘Vinci Da’.
Meanwhile, Bir Chatterjee, Dev, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Prosenjit Chattopadhyay, Rudranil Ghosh and Shivprasad Mukherjee have been nominated as the best actors.
Earlier, Bangladeshi actress Jaya Ahsan received the prestigious Filmfare Awards of India in 2018. She won the Best Actress award for her performance in ‘Bisarjan’. She was nominated for Best Actress in both the critical and popular categories for ‘Bisarjan’. She won awards in the popular category.
The Filmfare Awards will be presented to the winners on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Filmfare Awards ceremony of Bollywood was held this week.
