Jashore District Unit Awami League general secretary Shahin Chaklader has resigned from the post of Jashore sadar upazila chairman and submitted nomination papers for Jashore- 3 and Jashore- 6 constituencies, Abdul Awal, District Returning Officer and also Deputy Commissioner, Jashore confirmed.
The deputy commissioner told that the resignation letter, which was handed over to him, was sent to the Ministry of Local Government.
The office of the returning officer told the newsmen that nomination papers were submitted to the concerned offices by leaders of the ruling party for Shahin Chaklader. The constituencies are Jashore- 3 and Jashore- 6. The Awami League nominated incumbent lawmakers Kazi Nabil Ahmed for Jashore- 3 and Ishmat Ara Sadeque for Jashore-6.
