Leaders of the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) said that Japanese IT companies are showing ample interest in investing in the growing and highly potential IT sector of the country with a view to attaining a mutual benefit for both countries economy.
“Japanese IT market is among the most potential market to flourish for the Bangladeshi IT companies”, the leaders said while addressing a seminar on ‘ICT Business Opportunities in Japan ‘ at Bangladesh Computer Council in the city on Sunday. BASIS was organized the seminar.
Chief Executive Officers and various IT professionals from two Japanese companies attended the seminar. Besides, over 40 BASIS member companies participated in the seminar.
Speakers conveyed the importance of public-private partnerships for attracting investment in the IT sector of the country. “There is knowledge gap regarding the capacity of Bangladeshi IT industry prevailing in the minds of majority of Japanese companies and investors. Therefore more significance should be given in the country branding of Bangladesh in Japan”, said the speakers.
