Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia-a central university of India Prof Talat Ahmad has met Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Saturday at the latter’s office.
Associate professor of the Department of Geology and Mining of Rajshahi University Dr Ismail Hossain was also present on the occasion.
During the meeting they emphasized on joint collaborations for conducting research and projects of common interests.
They also discussed about the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between DU and Jamia Millia Islamia University. They focused on exchange programs for the students and teachers to enhance academic excellence of both universities.
DU VC thanked the Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia for his visit and hoped that joint collaborations between both universities would accelerate socio-economic development of the region through education and research programs.
