Annual athletics competition of Jagannath Hall of Dhaka University (DU) was held on Saturday at the central playground of the university.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman distributed prizes among the winners in the afternoon.
Earlier, DU Treasurer Professor Dr Kamal Uddin inaugurated the competition, said a press release.
Saimon Richil, a master’s student of World Religion and Culture Department emerged as the champion of the competition while Jiban Tripura, a fourth-year student of Accounting and Information System Department became runner-up in the competition with Provost of the Hall Professor Dr. Asim Sarkar in the chair.
A good number of teachers, house tutors and students enjoyed the annual competition.
