A 2-daylong Technology Festial-2014(Tech-Fest) unveiled at the permanent campus of the International Islamic University , Chittagong at Kumira under Sitakunda Upazila on Wednesday.
Faculty of Science and Engineering of the University organised the festival and Prof. Dr. AKM Azharul Isam inaugurated it as Chief Guest. Convenor of the festival Dr. Delwar Hossain presided over it .
Professor of the Computer Department Dr. Md. Kaykobad addressed the inaugural session as guest of honour. The chief guest in his brief address asked the youths to emphasize over sc ientific research work using their merits and skillness.
The programmes of the Tech Fest include programming contest, innovative competition, computer games competition, software development competition, project projection competition, poster designing, tech quiz context and debating competition.
Besides, seminar, workshop and math olympiad will be arranged .In the competitions of Tech Fest , about 3000 students from private and public universities will participate. Pro-Vice Chancellor of IIUC Dr. Abu Bakkar Rafique will inaugurate the festival at Kumira IIUC auditorium at 10 am tomorrow as chief guest. Prof. Dr. Kaikobad of BUET will attend the inaugural function as special guest.
