Bhangura (Pabna) Correspondent :
Due to the low-voltage of electricity, Boro paddy fields are not getting sufficient water in Bhangura upazila of Pabna district.
For this reason, irrigation cannot be given to the fields regularly. As a result, the Boro farms are cracking.
Various Boro fields were found cracked in the Baonjan Irri Project of Dilpashar Union in the upazila. Due to crisis of water , Boro seedlings of these lands are also dying.
Farmers of the area said that the connection line of the irrigation device should have 420 volt electricity but the supply is only 365 volt. In addition to the order of the polli-bidyut authority, the irrigation system is to be stopped every evening from 6 pm to 11 pm.
On the other hand, the water level has dropped below in the drought season. The farmers have become disturbed due to the electrical disruption. Abdul Matin village of Betuan said that my motor was burnt due to low voltage. Electrician Shariful Islam of the same village said that the fire of motor is going to burn every day, while two motors have also burnt.
AGM Nazmul Haque of Bhangura Polli Bidyut office admitted that in the evening load- shedding happened and he also said that this area is under the charge of Ershad Nagor Complaint Center, the matter is not in my concern.
