With the IPL kicking off to a start on Wednesday, actor-producer and co-owner of team Kolkata Knight Riders along with Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla says she is both nervous and excited.
“Well, the IPL has started and what shall I say about it? I am both scared and excited. I look forward to it because it’s a lot of excitement and I don’t look forward to it also, because it’s a lot of anxiety. We won the last time round andiss saal toh sirf players hi nahi, hum bhi- that is Shah Rukh and I – will be under a lot of pressure to retain the title,” says Juhi who was in Lucknow on Tuesday to inaugurate the International Children’s Film Festival.
With three of her films releasing last year,
including Gulaab Gang with Madhuri Dixit, Juhi says she’s going easy on signing movies this year. “There is one film that I have signed till now and it’s yet to go on floors.Toh uske baare mein baat karte hain jab uski shooting shuru hogi,” says she with a laugh. “Uske pehle toh main IPL mein hi itna busy rahungi,” she says.
Concentrating more on her home, Juhi says she’s in no hurry to do movies for the sake of numbers. “I don’t want to be under that pressure. I see these young heroines these days. They are under so much pressure. Every week there’s a newcomer and now, one has to do so much
pre-release film marketing, publicity, so many endorsements, just to remain in the limelight.
