A three-day international seminar on ”Regional Network on Poverty Eradication in South and South-East Asia” began at Syed Nazrul Islam auditorium of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in Mymensingh on Sunday.
Former governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr Md Farsh Uddin was the chief guest at the inaugural function of the seminar.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Convener of the seminar organising committee Prof Dr Md Afzal Hossain of BAU.
Thirty researchers from Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia are taking part in the seminar.
A total of 141 research papers will be presented in six sessions of the 3-day seminar, BAU sources said.
A fair on ‘agriculture and its technology’ was also opened marking the seminar.
