The Lutfunnesa Haque Bakul Inter-District Women’s Athletics Competition begins today at the Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in Dhanmondi.
A total of 250 female athletes from different districts will take part in the two-day long athletics meet.
A number of nine events will be held. The events are: 100 metre sprint, 200 metre sprint, 400 metre sprint, high jump, long jump, javelin throw, discuss throw, shot-put throw and 4×100 metre relay race.
Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association Syed Shahed Reza will inaugurate the athletics competition today at 10.00 am as the chief guest.
Tomorrow Shirin Nayeem Punom, MP will distribute the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
