The Walton Smart Television Inter-District Volleyball Competition begins tomorrow (Tuesday) at Noagaon in Rajshahi division.
Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) will arrange the volleyball meet under auspices of RB Group.
A total of 44 district teams will take part in the first phase of the volleyball competition across the country. The first phase will be held at Noagaon, Habiganj, Narail, Panchghar, Gazipur, Cox’s Bazar and Barisal.
The final round will be taken place in Dhaka City from April 9 to April 15.
To mark the forthcoming volleyball meet, a press conference was held at the conference room of the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday.
Chairman of the Tournament Committee and Additional Director, Head of the Department (Games & Sports) of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don, Executive Director of RB Group Zahid Hasan, Sports Ambassador of Walton Jobera Rahman Linu, Joint-Secretary of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation and Secretary of the Tournament Committee Advocate Fazle Rabbi Babul spoke at the conference.
The budget of the competition has been estimated at Tk eight lakh while RB Group, the sponsor of the meet has given Tk six lakh to BVF.
