Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said an integrated master plan for Dhaka City is being formulated by coordinating the master plans of all the agencies concerned.
He revealed the information on Thursday while speaking at a discussion through videoconferencing from Nagar Bhaban.
The technical discussion was arranged at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) on the occasion of the World Cities Day. Speaking as the chief guest, Taposh said various organisations have formulated master plans on their activities but those are project-centric.
“We are not omitting anything. We are going to formulate an integrated master plan for Dhaka City incorporating all of them (master plans of all the organisations),” he said.
