Installation ceremony of women chamber held in Rangpur

The installation ceremony of the newly elected 17-member executive committee of Rangpur Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RWCCI) for the 2014-2016 terms held here on Saturday afternoon.
Former Vice-president of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) and its incumbent Director Mostafa Azad Chowdhury Babu conducted oath-taking session in the ceremony arranged at RCCI auditorium in the city.
Additional District Magistrate Tonima Tasnim attended the ceremony as the chief guest with President of RWCCI Anwara Ferdousi Poly in the chair.
Additional Police Super Joynal Abedin, former President of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Mosaddek Hossain Bablu, its incumbent President Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu and Senior Vice-president Moztoba Hosain Ripan addressed as the special guests.
Anwara Ferdousi Poly, Shahnaz Parveen and Morsheda Khatun have been elected as the President, Senior Vice-president and Vice- president of the new 17-member executive committee of RWCCI.
The newly elected RWCCI Directors are Watun Nahar, Zakia Ahsan Lucky, Niluchh Akhter Khan, Shameema Parveen, Mahfuz Ara Chowhdury, Nazrin Yasmin, Shilpi, Ummey Kulsum Moni, Rokeya Bari, Ferdousi Jasmine, Banu Rashida, Jahanara Ferdousi Jelly, Nazma Sultana Rumi and Sharmin Akhter Shimul.
In his speech, Mostafa Azad Chowdhury Babu welcomed the newly elected RWCCI executive committee and hoped that they would work effectively for promoting private sector women entrepreneurs, trade, business, commerce and investment for economic uplift.
He also committed to play his due role in the Apex body of the country’s business organization FBCCI to assist RWCCI leaders in all possible ways for encouraging and flourishing their business in women-friendly atmosphere.
The chief guest stressed for creating favourable environment and providing assistances to the women entrepreneurs so that the nation could march towards sustainable economic developments and women empowerment at accelerated rate.
