Innovation and Incubation Center (IIC) of Daffodil International University (DIU) has taken an initiative to motivate the educated youths informing the struggle and challenges faced by the well-known entrepreneurs en-route to success.
Country’s renowned 12 successful well known entrepreneurs will take part in these lecture series titled “Daffodil International University Industry Academia Lecture Series on Entrepreneurship Development ” in different episode and will deliver their success story.
As a part of this process, Md. Mozibar Rahman, Chairman, BRB Cables Industries Ltd delivered the 3rd lecturer of the series on “Journey of a Struggling Entrepreneur” recently held at DIU Auditorium. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU delivered the welcome address in the program.
The program was also addressed by Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer, DIU, Alhaj Sufi Mizanur Rahaman, Chairman, PHP Group, Md Parvez Rahman, Managing Director, BRB Cables Industries Ltd, Md. Abu Taher, Director, Innovation and Incubation Center (IIC) of DIU moderated by Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, Director (Student Affairs) of DIU.
A large number of students, country’s renowned industrialists, business leaders, economists, teachers, researchers, secretaries, ambassadors and elites of the civil society were present at the program.
Md. Mozibar Rahman answered lot of questions of the students in the question -answer session and later on Md. Sabur Khan handed over a memento to BRB Chairman.
The lectures of these 12 successful entrepreneurs will be compiled and published as a book for reference for the students of Business Administration, Economics and Entrepreneurship Development Department. Initiative also has been taken to develop 12 individual video documentaries on these successful entrepreneurs from Innovation and Incubation Center (IIC) of DIU.
Md. Mozibar Rahman told the audience of the tale of the struggles he made to reach this level of success. He started his business in 1980 at BSCIC Industrial Estate Kustia in a very limited scale keeping the target of domestic market only. But, later on he entered into the international market with BRB Cable Industries along with its other sister concern like Kiyam Metal Industries, MRS Industries, BRB Polymer.
He said that the market potential of the different Bangladeshi products are spreading all over the world and we will have to find out those opportunities and will have to utilize them.
Inspiring the students, he reminded that morality, integrity and well-disciplined mentality are not only the subject matters of prayer rooms, but also the matter of every aspect of life we have to follow. Students should learn practical knowledge and skills besides academic knowledge strengthening industry-academia linkage, so that employers can get targeted professional experts for their industry. He urged the students to become knowledgeable, hard working to succeed in life.
