Indira Road KC, Rapid Foundation win in Metropolis Cricket

Indira Road Krira Chakra and Rapid Foundation registered wins in the Dhaka Metropolis First Division T20 Cricket Tournament beating their rivals on Saturday’s matches at BKSP Savar.
Indira Road KC beat Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan (BKSP) by 31 runs in the day’s first match while Rapid Foundation defeated Khelaghar SKS by six wickets in another match.
Indira Road KC vs BKSP: Sent in to bat first, Indira Road KC scored 136 runs for 9 in stipulated 20 overs.
Opener Rubel Alam Rana scored highest 35 runs off 21 balls with five fours and two sixes while Mehedi Mohin (24) and skipper Kallayan Sish Roy (15) were the other notable scorers.
Shah Arfan Shakil bowled impressively to take five wickets for 13 runs in his four overs spell.
Chasing 137 runs, BKSP finished the innings at 105 runs for 9 in 20 overs.
Opener Faisal Imran (26), Noor Alam Saddam (24) and Shariful Islam Shaikat (18) were the other notable scorers.
Salauddin Sakil grabbed three wickets for 11 runs while Mehedi Mohin took two wickets for 21 runs.
Khelaghar SKS vs Rapid Foundation: Batting first after winning the toss, Khelaghar SKS scored 126 runs for 9 in 20 overs.
Nizamuddin scored highest 25 runs, Masum Khan unbeaten 23 runs while Al-Mahmudul Islam added 22 runs.
Jahangir Alam captured three wickets for 12 runs while Imran Ali Enam and Abu Bakkar Siddiq took two wickets each for 28 and 43 runs respectively.
In reply, Rapid Foundation reached the target scoring 132 runs for 4 in 19.2 overs, guided by Faruk Hossain unbeaten 65-run off 57-ball with three fours and four sixes.
Abu Bakkar Siddiq (not out 23), Saymon Ahmad (21) and Salauddin Pappu (19) were the other double digit scorers for Rapid Foundation.
Khalid Bin Walid took two wickets for 13 runs.
