India scored exact 200 in 45 overs in a rain interrupted 2nd ODI match against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday.
New sensation Mustafizur Rahman played the key role in demolishing Indian innings claiming six wickets at the cost of 43 runs.
India made a poor start as opener Rohit Sharma was caught at point by Sabbir Rahman off Mustafizur Rahman for naught when India’s score was zero.
Later, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli contributed 74 runs in the second wicket stand before Virat Kohli was trapped leg before wicket by Nasir Hossain for 23 when India’s total was 74 for the loss of two wickets.
Then Shikhar Dhawan and MS Dhoni added 35 runs for the third wicket partnership before Shikhar Dhawan was caught behind by wicketkeeper Liton Das off Nasir Hossain when the tourists score was 109 for the loss of three wickets.
Dhawan hit a marvelous 53 from 60 balls featuring seven fours. It was Dhawan’s 13th ODI half century.
After dismissal of Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu was caught at the point by Nasir Hossain off Rubel Hossain for naught when the visitors total was 110 for the loss of four wickets.
Then MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina put on together 53 runs for the fifth wicket stand before Suresh Raina was caught behind by wicketkeeper Liton Das off Mustafizur Rahman for 34 when India’s score was 163 for the loss of five wickets.
After dismissal of Raina, MS Dhoni was caught at the short cover by Soumya Sarkar when India’s total was 174 for the loss of six wickets.
Dhani hit a polished 47 off 75 balls including three fours while Suresh Raina made a respectable 34 from 55 balls with three fours.
Later, Axar Patel was trapped leg before wicket by Mustafizur Rahman for a duck when India’s score was 174 for the loss of seven wickets.
Then Ravichandran Ashwin was caught behind by wicketkeeper Liton Das off Mustafizur Rahman for just four runs when the tourists total was 184 for the loss of eight wickets.
Later, Ravindra Jadeja was bowled out by Mustafizur Rahman for 19 when the visitors score was 196 for the loss of nine wickets.
After dismissal of Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was caught behind by wicketkeeper Liton Das off Rubel Hossain for just three runs when India’s innings came to an end.
Rubel Hossain and Nasir Hossain bagged a pair of wickets each for 26 and 33 runs respectively.
