India has offered scholarships for meritorious Bangladeshi under and post graduate students and PhD researchers to undertake studies in traditional systems of medicines like Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy, Indian High Commission in Dhaka said in a statement on Monday.
It said the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) offered the scholarship for meritorious Bangladeshi students to pursue the studies at India’s National institute of Ayurveda in Jaipur, National Institute of Unani Medicine in Bangalore and National Institute of Homoeopathy in Kolkata.
The scholarships would be offered for the academic year 2015-2016 and suggested intending students to download the application forms from the High Commission’s website www.hcidhaka.gov.in.
Candidates have been requested to submit six copies of filled up application forms along with certificates of educational qualifications attested by Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs ministry and submit those in persons to education attach, at the Education Wing of the high commission at House No. 2, Road No.142, Gulshan-1, Dhaka-1212.
“Candidates are also required to present their original certificates for verification at the time of submission of their application forms,” the statement said adding that filled up application forms would be accepted from 1100 hrs to 1300 hr on all working days until Sunday July 26, 2015.
It asked them to call 9888789-91, Extension 142/311 for queries.
