Tahira looks every bit Indian, with her jet black, lustrous hair and deep brown eyes, and if it was not for her accent which gives away her Australian roots, one would never guess she’s the reigning Miss India-Australia.
In Mumbai since last month, she came here to represent Australia in the Miss India Worldwide contest, after having won the Miss India-Australia contest in October last year.
“Miss India-Australia was a lot easier because I was competing with only 12 contestants. Miss India Worldwide had 22 contestants and it was quite daunting but I quite enjoyed the experience and the exposure,” says Tahira, who stood fourth in the international pageant.
