District administration of Chittagong conducted eviction drive against the illegal installations like shops, parking from the court building areas in the city yesterday.
During the raid, 10 shops evicted and the owners of the 14 vehicles convicted with penalty of Tk.3000 each .
Executive Magistrate Md. Ruhul Amin led the eviction drive team from 11 am to 3 pm . District administration sources said the environment of the court area turned noisy and unhealthy due to rise of illegal shops, tea stalls, floating venders and haphazard parking of transports. The commodities of these evicted shops seized by the district admiistrastion, sources said.
