Acting is the only passion to Ilias Kanchan. Due to his engagement with a social movement titled Nirapad Sarak Chai he doesn’t get enough time and scope to act in media.
It is also a difficult task for him to give
direction of movie any time right now.
He is basically out five years in giving film direction. Keeping in mind this thing he was also searching a good story to make a movie in the meantime. Recentlty he got a story. After five years he is going to make a film.
To be produced under the banner of Ocean Group shooting of his directing new movie will begin from January. Last night Ilias Kanchan went to Jakarta in Indonesia to attend the South East Asian Regional Conference regarding to Nirapad Sarak Chai movement where representatives from 11 countries are attending there. He is expected to return to Bangladesh on December 5. Later he will go to London to meet his daughter Ima, daughter-in-law and granddaughter Arshia Mehzabin. After returning from there he will finalise the casting of his new movie on December 22, Kanchan said.
While talking about his two new movies Ilias Kanchan told this correspondent, “Earlier in two of my directed movies, there were social messages. In new movie, there will be also a message for the people. Ocean Group extended their cooperations for this and I have shown keen interest to make a new movie right now. Everybody pray for me.” Ilias Kanchan first made a movie Baba Aamar Baba in 2008. Two years later, he made another movie Mayer Swapno.
In 1986, he got the National Film Award for Alamgir Kabir’s film Porineeta.
Ilias Kanchan informed that on December 4 his acted and Delwar Jahan Jhontu directed movie Epar Opar to be released.
His acted a movie titled Banglar Fatakesto is waiting to get censor certificate now. Ilias Kanchan has already finished shooting of movie Hothat Dekha against Kolkata’s noted actress Debashree recently.
