Unknown miscreants damaged two idols at a temple in the village of Nowapara under Barhatta upazila in Netrakona district on Saturday night.
Police quoting the temple managing committee said that the attackers had
broken two hands and heads of the two idols.
A police team led by Inspector (investigation) of Barhatta Police Station Swapan Chandra Sarker visited the temple on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, a general diary has been recorded with the Barhatta PS in connection with the attack. Police has meanwhile started investigation into the incident, Police Super of Netrakona Joydeb Chowdhury said.
